“Truthfully, I don’t think that I was really looking at her,” she told Jimmy Fallon earlier this week. “If you look really closely at the angle of my eyes, they’re kind of, like, over here…[staring at] the Stranger Things table. And I really love Stranger Things.”

That’s pretty much what they said about Roseanne and, yet, here we are.

I think there are some more extreme cases of mood imbalance/neuro-atypicality where the person might not be able to take any sort of drugs/booze to keep them calm through travel, which would warrant an emotional support animal so that they don’t become a much bigger nuisance in the air, themselves... but Christ, a

It sounds like the peacock emotionally supports this woman in being an asshole who incoveniences people.

One of my hot button issues is when pet owners’ irresponsibility makes their pets a problem for others. I’m still pissed years later that our next door neighbor criticized small infractions like leaving the trash bin out too long, while she allowed her dog to shit all over our yard. It was disgusting. It’s inexcusable

Emotional support animals are not service animals. Their asshole owners are just abusing a right granted to those who need service animals.

WaPo had a pretty eye opening article on this “emotional support animal” phenomenon a few days ago, detailing the predictable problems that ensue when you throw animals into the mix with lots and lots of strangers in a tight, enclosed plane.

I fucking hate birds too. I remember old pet stores in the mall, I would go in to pet the puppies but be terrified to go past the bird area.

Ages ago I did a study abroad in Greece, where I was initially enchanted by the wild peacocks meandering about. After a few days, I was significantly less impressed. Their screeching alone is enough to make me want to pull out a rifle.

Well it looks like she is getting the help she needs as far as treatment goes... and the Holets are keeping in close contact with her. Seems like a lot of commenters here posting a lot of false and bad information about her not getting treatment and being ignored on that front. So yeah, I’d say you are creating some

I tend to defend emotional support animals, because the people who are ultimately burned are the people who rely on them. I believe there are legitimate reasons to have a trained dog with you on a plane, and those reasons aren’t always readily apparent. I don’t think we hear about the people who have trained support

I do. I’ve seen some beat it. I’ve seen many more fail at it. I’ve seen many childrens lives ruined because of it, and many who prematurely sold the idea that they had beat serious drug addiction to get their children back only to relapse and cause even more damage to the children.

Peacocks go out of their way to inconvenience people. I’m just stunned that someone has found one helpful

I have issues with flying. I am basically in a state of quiet terror the whole time and looking for a way to knock myself out between A and B. This has never influenced me to want to bring an animal on a flight.

Service animals and emotional support animals are not the same.

Let me tell you something, if I get onto a plane, and there is a goddamn peacock roaming freely around the cabin, I. AM. OUT. I do NOT like birds, and there is no way that I’m going to be trapped in a metal tube with one for hours on end. Nope. No way. And peacocks can be particularly aggressive assholes, so double no

hopefuly recovers

Not fighting with you, but with all due respect, I can think in at least one scenario where that “mother” should totally have ever kept that kid: she gets the help she needs - and its an obligation of the State to provide! -, hopefuly recovers, and go on becoming a good mother. You call it “insanity”, I call it

Peacocks are freaking MEAN. I wouldn’t want one on my flight, honestly.

Except she could have not said anything. Her choosing to respond is news.
