I used to work at Hertz and their used cars were pretty well taken care of. They were serviced at the specified intervals, we couldn’t rent them with an open recall so that stuff is taken care of, and usually they’re priced pretty aggressively. Just check to make sure they haven’t been in a bad accident and it’s no

Obvious answer is replace what you lost, otherwise go my route with an e93 M3. That V8 note is glorious at 6k+ all the way up to 8,300 (even better now with aftermarket exhaust) and they’re relatively cheap. Just budget for some maintenance and you’re good.

I have no plans of selling right now, just hoping it doesn’t start depleting my bank account over the next few years :-)

REALLY hoping they make an M4 Gran Coupe to compete with this. I really miss the practicality / looks of my old Gran Coupe. Combine that with the M treatment and that’d make a very compelling case for me to eventually sell my e93 M3. But that V8 noise will be very hard to replace!

Now playing

Agreed! My cousin & I were talking about this and how the old school toy rides were more fun because they took skill to use.

I found Candylab’s on Instagram randomly last year and finally bought the Smokey & the Bandit Firebird when they had a sale last fall. They are very well put together & designed!

These are great, thanks for sharing! I got my son the Smokey & the Bandot Firebird from Candylab’s, these are next.

Living in Florida has made me yearn for more cars having ventilated seats as standard. Or at least give us the choice of heated or ventilated seats, I don’t need heated seats when the average temp is above 70 year round!

Marco from Tropoja...

Man this is a blast from the past! My dad has an identical red 150 and my uncle had the 80. They were fun to tool around in back in the day!

Damn you. Every time I see an 850 i want one then practically convince myself that it’s more hassle/money than it’s worth. Then I see this, and I want one again! Beautiful ride, thanks for sharing. Love that interior and the sound system, which I agree is an integral part of the experience (music and exhaust note).

Yes! Best BMW blue ever, followed closely by Estoril Blue

I agree 100%, however you do not show Estoril Blue nor Nogaro Blue...FOR SHAME!

I always used to tilt the moonroof open in the winter, perfect way to achieve this even while snowing/raining!

Mercedes, wtf did you do to this once-beautiful car?!

San Marzano is spot on, I won’t use any other kind of tomatoes. However, sub extra virgin olive oil for the butter and add salt & basil. Done deal! Can also sub garlic for the onion.

Ugh yes! I hate driving my wife’s IS because of this Such a dumb spot!

I really wanted to like this, as I’m 100% behind the recent 4 door hatchback/sedan hybrids. But seeing it in person at the Detroit show was a let down. Way too much going on design-wise, which to me is almost always why I end up getting turned off by Kia, Hyundai, etc.

COTD, bonus points for matching hilarious Porsche levels of customization

“Sir, we kinda ripped through a majority of the budget on the tech on this one. We only have a bit left and still have the interior to finish.“
