I’ve been a wreck all last night and today (they bled together) but having lived with the aftermath for a while, I have three positive takeaways from the election:

I’ve felt all day like a loved one passed away. My connection is more personal as I was an active donor and volunteer with the campaign, and a friend of mine (also a gay man) did Bill & Chelsea’s advance work at various points. I can only imagine how he must be feeling today.
