Apple created FaceTime and that is theirs to trademark. No problem with that. But if they had named it Video-Chat and attempted to trademark it like they did with Multi-Touch and App Store then they do not deserve the trademark. The difference it that the terms were generic prior to Apple using them.

They still have it listed as a valid trademark on their website.

And just like in this example the term has been generic prior to Apple ever using it.

Actually that chart hasn't been updated yet. The 7392 update was a security update to fix fraudulent 3rd party certificates. [www.microsoft.com] The mango update should be 77**(not sure of the official number yet). They said the chart will be updated in the next week.
