That still doesn't make it faster. Just means instead of plugging in a second device into my computer I would then plug it into the hard drive. Fancy stuff. Manufacturers have added USB hubs to external hard drives before, nobody has ever cared though.

Actually ME was the last of the DOS kernels. It was basically an upgrade to Windows 98. XP was the first consumer targeted OS based off of the 2K/NT kernel line.

Vista and Windows 7 also are in the same kernel group. 6/6.1 Microsoft has admitted fudging kernel numbering just for the sake of program compatilibility.

So far about the only thing they have shown is the new start menu. The desktop is still there, they just don't seem to have done much with it yet. All your normal programs still work just like they are supposed to. Hell I even downloaded uTorrent to keep from going in the other room to download a torrent.
