I’m having fun rediscovering it. I used to know all the lines by heart, and now it’s like watching a whole new show. Maybe I’ll like the later seasons? I will watch them, for sure. I watched all 9 iterations of Hellraiser just to get it done, and I have no regrets.

My partner and I were talking last night about how there are still adults out there that believe in Noah’s ark and virgin births and people turning into pillars of salt. And then I thought of all the things we need to do as a society that need scientific discourse, and I got a bit depressed.

If that’s what the devil wants, then I’m sure there’s nothing stopping him! 

My eventual conversion to a sort of spiritual atheism took me about 20 years, starting in my teens. I no longer believe in god as a figurehead, but rather a sort of energy that connects us all. It’s been incredibly freeing and feels more moral and loving than anything any church I ever went to as a kid taught me.…

I don’t think so. Plenty of popular music has always been formulaic, but it still followed a verse, chorus, verse kind of pattern. Now a lot of songs are literally the same thing repeated over and over again. Even the Monkees had verses that were distinguished from one another. I can’t think of any examples right off…
