I disagree with this one. My wife and I use lubricant every time, it and makes things more enjoyable for us. There is absolutely such a thing as too much though. If we go overboard there isn’t enough friction for me to derive a whole lot of feeling from it.

Gonna call bullshit on all but the used cars. Price went up, and they will stay up for a significant portion of the year only because price increases are sticky.

I feel like this “quiet firing” breaks down into 2 basic buckets (there might be more).

They dock at private slips with professional security. And if you can afford a megayacht, you can afford to embark and disembark via helicopter when it’s already at sea. Only the poors actually walk off their yachts, ugh.

But if we could cut their taxes a little more, they could add 50 ft to their yacht and hire another maid, for a real win for the middle class.

The solution here is simply for people to be a) good hosts and b) good guests. That means accommodating reasonable requests for special meals when you invite people into your home, and not making unreasonable requests when you visit someone else’s home.
