I believe there was plan for the sr71 to deliver a kinetic energy weapon — something akin to the "rods from god" concept, dropping a titanium spike from near-low-orbit. But the sr71 was not intended to be weaponized, as "intel" from recon was more valuable than splattering a few enemies.
