10 times better than Vinyl, this show started off unfocused, but little by little it's finding its feet, the writing is improving. It deserves a 2nd season.

In the top 5 best Leftovers episodes, depressing though it is.

Pet Sounds? Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I love Smile and much of their early stuff, but to this day I still don't understand the appeal of this precious, self-involved, over-produced recording. As for Sgt. Pepper, I'll take the White Album, thank you very much.

You're daft, this was a major snooze, just dull.

For my money one of the greatest episodes of TV ever, fan-effing-tastic in both senses.

I know, my willing sense of disbelief is SHATTERED, I thought this was a documentary…

He's *wrestled* with it, not "wrested", FFS.

It sucked. The cold open was the now-mind numbingly stale Baldwin/Trump routine. Give it a rest, folks. The opening monologue wasn't a monologue at all, it was just a lame version of Bowie's Let's Dance, possibly to cover the fact that Fallon hadn't written any monologue material. The show just got worse and worse,

You pretty much have to watch it all. It's just not the kind of show you should skip seasons of.

I think it was one of the weaker seasons, but not fatally so. It was flawed but still entertaining enough and the show has recovered from less than perfect seasons in the past (Season 3) and it may well do so again. I'm sure I'll be tuning in again in a year to see how they handle Keane all of a sudden being a villain.

Totally agree about Baldwin, his Trump was great a couple of times but now it's just as depressing as the real Trump. Okay, not QUITE that depressing…but it's just some seriously stale shit, and his O'Reilly didn't help things either. Time for some others to take a turn at these roles. Otherwise loved this episode, it

Well it was partially plot-based, but it doesn't matter that it was the person we all expected. What was important was how it all happened, who did it, and the reveal of him being Jane's rapist. That's plenty enough unpredictability for this type of story, it's not an Agatha Christie who-dunnit.

I'd give it an "A". It's hard to argue with something that makes you stand up and cheer at the end.

Even when it wasn't strictly funny, it was entertaining, which is about the most you can ask. Loved the dog sketch and the Ivanka complicit video, and ScarJo was looking fine.

It was equal parts creepy and hot, quite the delicate balance.

Though it has undoubted flaws, the biggest being the central scene of the first episode, I still think this show is kind of great. Few shows are as thought-provoking, few give you so much detail of plot and character to chew over. Maybe not "art", certainly somewhat soapy, but asks important questions about modern

A couple of flaws, the artificiality of the confrontation at school between accused and accuser is unfortunate, and it could be a little more subtle. It almost feels like we are bombarded with too much information, especially regarding Celeste's husband, they do everything but give him a Snidely Whiplash mustache and

It WAS like her slacker vibe infected the whole cast, and only Alec Baldwin's cold open really landed.

Definitely, "Rosetta Stone" is right. The major themes of the show are identified and verbalized in this episode, whereas in most they're simply demonstrated. Melfi basically sums up the overarching theme. The show deals in many metaphors, but the most, er, pungent, is the Garbage theme. Garbage stands in for poison,

One of the saddest, most tragic episodes. Vito's smiling face in the Thin Club ad at the end is a gut-punch.
