I assume you were in a mkI GTI. I had a mkII 1990 GTI which was a pretty solid compact car compared to other small cars of that era. The redesign in 1988 beefed up the door and dashboard reinforcements,it was anything but flimsy.

Looks like a real shit show.

That’s why it’s under $2 million. A few doors down is newer and is $4.1 million. Only three car garage, though....CP.

This one’s available.

They still have winters there?

The original poster said they didn’t see any ‘discounts’. It may not meet your narrow criteria of a ‘steal’, but that’s a pretty discounted price for a direct flight to Paris, which also has no change fees for 12 months. There are plenty of other discounts out there that are well below the normal spring/summer pricing.

Really? $286 r/t Direct from Newark to Paris.   Plenty of discounts out there, and United is offering no change fees on any flight booked in March.

Gears are only managed by an eight-speed PDK automatic, no word on a manual transmission

The real question is why are we still here, and why are we posting?

So you’d be OK if your car suddenly slowed down by 20% every time you drove it? Because the manufacturer decided that, long after you purchased your car, consistent performance would make the engine last longer and alleviate them of any liability if the engine just died?

Alternative option: Le Mans Classic

While I love my 986, the 981 is the sweet spot right now.

Aren’t the Sport functions (only) on the wheel for 718? Or is that only w/Sport Chrono?

It’s a GTS and still has five blanks???  Come on, where are the options???

If only there was another way to let people know you have a new model coming out, and to release all the details and pictures and specs. And have them look at the car in 3D and change the color and interior.....

Not really removable, but are mounted/tethered to the outside concrete wall.

Still odd that all the pictures refer to the turn as ‘completed’ though maybe they are just talking about the racing surface/banking.

Maybe not done yet....

if you’re unfamiliar with aerodynamics it can be tough to actually understand

Just posted this above, but it applies here as well. I believe this will get you across the US. Maybe back, too.
