50 x $450,000 is over $22 million. I think they know how things work once they “tune” and get a good lap time at the Ring.

Don’t tell Lexus or Peter Braun

Musk just wants everyone talking about him, and Tesla.

I agree 100% except that we’re on Jalopnik, a car enthusiast site.

All-wheel drive is a must and something new/newer would be ideal. A brown, manual, Golf wagon would be nice....

What have they done with all the panel gap????

Don’t ruin the fun.

We call it whatever we want, dammit!  I prefer to call it Jimmy Hoffa’s Backyard, if you know what I mean....

Yup! My limited knowledge also leads me to believe we’ll need some kind of kegerator to chill it down and store it.

NJ landfills emit 10,000 tons of free hydrogen gases every year.

Referring to any idea or product as ‘disruptive’.  Stop it.  Just call it a good idea.

Right, I was referring to GT2/GT3 type models slotted above the Turbos, replacing the number with ‘E’.

While I don’t really have a problem with the naming convention, isn’t it a bit ironic that they used a name that still conjures up images of ‘turbo lag’ in an instant-torque electric car?

Both ‘turbos’ will be knocked from the top of the model range by the Taycan GTE, which will then lead to a GTE RS, which will likely weigh 12 kilos less, and cost $20k more.

Where’s the video from the phone he caught?!?!??!?!

That RR dealer was Imported Motor Cars, on Bloomfield Ave and Valley Road.....was eventually reopened as a Jaguar dealer, but was knocked down a few years ago and is now a mammoth mixed-use development.

Mercedes C300, around $27,000 for a CPO

Base model Taycan will be released later this year. Will still easily add $20,000 in options within a few clicks.

I read some more and per Porsche, there will be lower models introduced later this year, so eventually there will be: a Taycan, Taycan S, Taycan GTS, Taycan Turbo, Taycan Turbo S, Taycan GTE, and a Taycan GTE RS, presumably.

Not offered with a manual.  CP.
