I never heard it described that way. From what I’d read over the years, I always assumed it was similar to the 959 in that they were perfect supercars.....street legal, very drive-able, with awesome performance (even if the Group B racing never got off the ground).

It has doors that go ‘like this’. So, it’s a supercar.
It’s a car meet right in front of the Lamborghini dealer. It’s actually the best spot to do this. We get to see lots of video, and they get to walk back into the dealer and ask for a loaner until the insurance check comes in so they can buy another one.
On the bright side, the Indy cars are 44 seconds faster than the Miata Cup cars.
