That photo is oddly edited, the colors and saturation are way off (just look at the sky in the background). Look at the other pictures for a more accurate representation of the darker green.

Right, but for way less money than LMP1, they still get R&D for an all-electric vehicle that they will sell (Mission E: 2020). They already sell hybrids, so why not use race tech for future production cars?

They will still race the 911 (and maybe some future cars...) in their respective series. Porsche doesn’t sell LMP1 cars, so it seems to me they are focusing (less) dollars and R&D on electric cars, which are the future whether or not we want to admit it.
