Rodney’s character was Czervik, and I believe he said: “This is the worst lookin’ hat I ever saw. Ya buy a hat like that, I bet you get a free bowl of soup, eh?”

It’s already three times better without the shouty guy.

CPO 2012 Mercedes E350 4MATIC. $24,900

I wouldn’t call it a hard top convertible. We call them ‘Targa’ tops.

Is the Aston backed in because it wouldn’t fit the other way? Appears there’s roof/window cutout in the ceiling, but the antenna would hit if you pulled in front-first. And maybe the garage door would hit the trunk? It just looks super tight with the Benz underneath.

It looked very much like a hotel in the background —- I thought Hilton Garden Inn, but it turns out it was a Hampton Inn. Anyway, just searched ‘hotels’ on Gmap and saw which ones were right up on 294. Only took six or seven tries...about five minutes of virtual driving. I’m pretty good at finding random shit on

Then again, this is Google Street View from 2007, and it’s white. Hmmm...not sure why there would be a plain white wrap, other than someone didn’t pay the bill and the owner covered the ad on spite.

Billboards use vinyl ‘wraps’ now, so it’s basically been covered by plastic the whole time. Note the water damage at the seams and some peeling. There was likely a problem putting on the new wrap (high wind?) or they found a problem with the advertisement. A new one will likely be up soon, or it might be getting

If I ever get a Spyder (987 or 981), it will be a third+ car and only have the top up when absolutely necessary. But I never thought about the red latch.

I know exactly what you mean. I drove a Porsche-loaned PDK, so going to first around turns wasn’t as traumatic as it would be in my 5-spd 986 (I can count on one hand the times I’ve probably downshifted to first while still moving).

Excellent choice. I’ve only driven the GTS...is the gearing the same? i.e. long, especially second, which was the only gear I ever seemed to be in.

That looks to be a light-rail/trolley. If so, they can stop pretty quickly.

I only see four. Which one am I missing?

Agreed. And it will be more expensive than you think....the top is actually made from magnesium parts with a fabric cover. It folds as it’s stored under the rear glass.

This is what I understand the 2018 Audi Q3's function to be, anyways.

Having driven one, I can say the new Targa is quite proper. It’s just the automated dance in which it stores the top for you that’s different. Still a solid hoop, and as a bonus you get the removable rear window, if only for a few seconds.

Touareg is on the same platform as the Q7 and Cayenne. Likewise the Q5 and Macan share a platform

The lesser turbo 4 might come in that low, but based on the K9 pricing I am thinking closer to $50k.

Not confirmed, but a UK site had an anticipated list price of 43k pounds/$52,000 US.
