I’m trying to imagine being the train operator at the front of the locomotive, seeing nothing but pristine white snow in front of you, and having faith that your train will be able to plow through tons and tons of snow with nothing but the sheer mass and momentum of your machine.

I know the rice thing has been “debunked” many, many times. So many times, that after my phone went for an extended swim I decided not to try it and let my phone air dry. The phone worked okay for a couple of weeks, until one day it just flat out died and I noticed some remaining water under the screen.
