Yes, this has happened to my Leaf, even though I park it outside in the sun and the little solar panel on the roof is supposed to keep the 12v battery charged. But unlike the Model S, my Leaf can be opened with a key and has a manual hood release and took me around 30 seconds to get to the 12v battery.
