Every story has a conceit. It need only be well told. If people appreciated Inception or Twin Peaks or even something like True Detective season 1, then Dirk Gently’s weirder side is eminently doable.

He was basically describing his actual life, sly dog.

A teensy bit of exposition goes a long way. Slip it into a discussion about some other matter and Bob’s yer man from Porlock.

CH didn't quite make the accent. Listening to that opening narration through headphones is a special kind of torture.

I like the logic behind his suit construction and I like that it’s a break with the TV show. There seems to be 2 good Flashes in circulation now. No need for them to cannibalize each other.

I think a bit of color wouldn’t go amiss. She is Captain Marvel. She has to be emblematic of the whole MCU. As for the ‘do... Brie Larson could make a thatch of half-chewed straw look good, so no worries there.

A movie made twenty years before I was born would be circa 1957(!) at the latest. I distinctly remember as I kid in the eighties thinking the stuff of that era was impossibly ancient, mannered and weird.
