Thanks for the reminder, I need to go plug my motorcycle back into the maintainer instead of the old car battery it’s on now...

Maybe they slipped the ecstasy out of his coffee?
but, come on, is shifting an automatic really annoying? Really?
I think I missed the context of the announcement earlier this week. Did Tesla say that this is 100% the production Model S?
From an economy and usability perspective, I agree that PHEV makes a lot of sense - no gas needed for normal runs, but also no issue driving 100 miles for a field trip, with the redundancy of every gas station in town if a charger isn’t available for whatever reason.
Would it be insurance fraud if you just so happened to drive down that road (assuming it’s a public road) at a legal speed and all your nearly-worn-out tires just happened to blow?
I think you’re right on the money with needing to focus on cities and apartments; we suburbanites with our own garages and our own electricity aren’t the ones in need.
TBF, that is kinda what the show garages all the teams have down around Charlotte look like...actual pic attached.
I could 3-D print a bracket to hold the modular screen atop the dash or in the space beneath the climate controls or down next to my emergency brake. Really, in any number of places.
The first sedan you’re most excited about? I bet the real thing will just look like a cosmetically modified Ioniq...so if the current Ioniq EV doesn’t excite you, I bet that one won’t either.
hell, who else sells cars with Union Jack taillights?
I’m not getting it. It seems like a car’s ability to maintain GPS tracking while communicating with these passing posts seems way more complex and likely to fail than, say, an extra camera and dedicated image processor to be used as a fallback.
I think I would put it at #3, behind the Supra and 86
I think the Ioniq 5 teaser pictures are deceiving without a point of reference to set the scale. We are all picturing it the same size as a Golf, when it’s really going to be more like a Tuscon in funny clothes.
Ah okay, thank you for the correction.
I guess Bob Dylan was right when he said “times they are a Changli’n”
<50cc mopeds get a pass though, don't they? Though they're also essentially the same dimensions as a bicycle, which this thing surely isn't.
Do you guys still have the ability to do those drag-the-bar-left-and-right-to-compare picture things? One of those with the outgoing/incoming interiors would have been great for those of us that can’t picture the current one off the tops of our heads.
I installed a charging plug for a volt owner and he said he only filled up around 4x per year.
I made it through the length of I84 through New York state during a snowstorm while the highway was shut down (cops blocking every ramp, but they weren’t forcing cars already on the highway off)...in a first generation Insight.
