What else do you think it would be, they just felt like staying parked on the highway for fun?

12:54 PM EST: the form worked for me, I ordered tests, and received the confirmation email.

To begin, I will out myself as someone else who ordered a brand new model (Maverick) after not having even seen one in person. I deserve all your derision. I haven’t even received it yet, so there is still opportunity for me to whine just like this Bronco guy. That said, I think there are several reasons why me

So on your car registration where it has a space for “color”, would you suggest that black cars should fill that in with “none”, and white cars should select “all of them”? Or should they both be “greyscale”?

What size are these, smaller than a Tacoma? Between Taco and Tundy?

Even then...why would you need to charge a battery from a battery? You wouldn't use one of those big battery packs except for car camping, and if you're car camping........you have the car for power.

I’m sure they will work just fine, but you’ll also be able to find a comparably performant tire for less money that’s not branded as being for EVs.

If you hook up an inverter, will the car intelligently manage the throttle to match demand? I don’t think so, right? It will just stay at idle and the alternator would only output its baseline amount. The hypothetical car-generator will have a stronger alternator capable of putting out max power for extended periods

Also, the suggestion that you could run a “small generator for camping” from the 110v plug. Like, WTF? You don’t plug in a generator to mains power, that’s the whole point of a generator.

Sure; does any of that contradict what I said? I never said it wouldn’t be successful, just that it really doesn’t work for me.

I felt the exact same way when I first saw a GV80 in person. It’s just trying so hard that it doesn’t work for me. Like they’ve taken elements from all other luxury cars and assembled them on this one, rather than seeking a luxury identity of their own.

How did no one suggest a different name for the EV platform that doesn’t sound like a BDSM sex robot eGIMP?

I’m sure it’s too late for anyone to care, but here’s one that popped into my mind driving home today: Lexus is the Cadillac of democrats.

For sure, they are all worth watching; Up is just the most relevant to this story.

Better still, go watch Long Way Up if you haven’t yet!

They also seem to brag about being able to apply 13 coats of paint thinner that a human hair...isn’t that a bad thing? Tesla’s paint is notoriously thin, it’s not something to brag about.

That’s really the only problem I have here. She and the audience member consented, but I’m not sure the clean up crew consented to cleaning up after, or whoever owns the stage equipment.

Idk, seems like Mini is in just as good a position as any for a good BEV model (though their current offering isn’t very compelling). The brand’s small frontal area and hatchback design already lend themselves to aerodynamic efficiency, and the boxiness seems well suited to a floor of batteries. The current BEV Mini

...okay? I'm not sure how that is relevant to anything.

What if I told you it’s not a badge, it’s  E M B O S S E D?
