That’s what I would do for sure. The negative of having to deal with stolen wheels way outweighs the positive aesthetic of factory wheels.

Again, cheaper doesn’t really matter, it’s the funness, which you even acknowledge could be the electric option.

For anyone who starts an Apple TV+ trial to watch Long Way Up, give these other Apple TV shows a try before the trial period runs out:

Idk about you, but I have a bike because it’s fun, not because it contributes to a pursuit of maximum financial efficiency. Break even doesn’t matter one bit. If it’s fun enough for the price, that’s what matters.

You don’t have electricity at home?

Agreed on Hyundai based on recent experience - talked to 5 dealers. One internet sales guys was actually great (from a dealer in an upscale area), one seemed well-intentioned but dumb, one was bad, and one seemed actively hostile to my request for a price.

Nice, looks like a good evolution. Looks cleaner and classier with fewer kinks, vents, plastic bits, etc. Very A3 in a good way.

I am sure you realize there are two sides to the coin. Yes, of course it makes sense to have safe cars on the road. But that also raises the cost floor for transportation, so outside of cities with good public transit, that rising floor could strand some people without transportation and no way to work. That’s not

a trained mechanic would have immediately prevented this vehicle from being on the road.

It seems like the BMW results should be thrown out, or at least, disregarded as inconclusive. The 4.5 HP loss across the test shows that there’s something else going on. Heat soak? Not being able to single that out means that we don’t really know what effect specifically the filters had. For example, was the K&N to

I thought it looked kind of like an air vent, which seems unlikely to be true, but then again, this whole car seems unlikely.

Are you ready for a 6-figure GMC product? Woof.

For reference, the earlier ELS system in the TLX was 10 speakers and 490 watts, and I would rate it as “good enough to not stand out as bad” which is basically all I need. Sounds good at normal volumes, and the center channel dedicated to navigation/voice feedback is handy.

What research into pricing have you done? I just sold a car to Carvana for more than anyone else offered. $1,500 more than Carmax, $500 more than the dealer that was fudging the buy price with incentives on the new car, $200 more than Vroom...and like $300 less than the very top of the range from KBB.

Is that second set of screws on the visor retainer meant to adjust tension? Looks like they tighten straight down onto the hinge pin and would make it retain its positioning again.

But but but we have a finely-manicured and historically-backed heritage of douchenozzlery! Don’t you want to immediately look like a brodude in a Wrangler too?

I’m assuming your deliveries are in the US while this van is only in the UK, so it really won’t work for you.

Because gasoline is easy to find. I’ve yet to see an NG hookup at a gas station. The only one I know of is owned by the city exclusively for their buses.

The top of the filler tube just has like a thin metal blockoff plate, doesn’t it? Can that be removed or bored out to fit bigger nozzles? Or has VW redesigned it since the MKIV Jetta my parents had years ago?

What’s the point of accumulating wealth if you don’t spend it? Seems like that’s worshiping money itself, rather than simply using money as a means to an end.
