Isn’t a satellite radio subscription like $15+ per month? Why not just put that money toward your cell phone plan and benefit from more streaming everywhere?

Is it limited at <500 miles too so it cuts out at the indicated 4500 redline, or will it let you go all the way up to 6500 from brand new if you really wanted?

You have enough answers already, but I’ll chip in too. I think a small truck would do homeowner-y things better than anything with enclosed storage like a CUV/SUV/wagon:

I think that would have been good data to have been included in the article

I think there is a clear answer here. Rather than the vague “sport” they are ostensibly utilized for, we just need to add clarity and the differentiation will emerge naturally.

Yeah for sure! Even more so if he saw discrepancy in his US sales vs international FCA sales reports.

I think you missed some facts here, namely that Bigland is only CEO of Ram, and the whistleblowing was about FCA sales reporting as a whole. The CEO of Ram wouldn’t have any authority over Dart sales reporting. It seems likely he noticed a disparity in the actual sales in his own division and the sales reported by

All those motors gotta have massive air intakes.

I agree. Artificial limitations are integral to every sport. Baseball would be easier if you could use a bigger bat, marathons would be easier if you could drive, etc. Of course using all available technology would make pitting faster/easier, but that doesn’t mean it’s better for the sport.

There will be a single nut holding on all five wheels.

The obvious answer is to first buy and use two individual gallons of prediluted coolant, then after that buy the concentrate and distilled water and mix your own back into the prediluted bottle, then you have properly-mixed coolant in an accurately-labeled bottle that’s cheaper and just as easy to store and use.

Good point, though I think cars should have some measure of stranger-proofing.

ooOOOoo okay, now I remember seeing that snake demo. Thanks for the reminder, the full-auto door makes sense now.

Idk about you, but if I were driving a rental Tesla, I’d definitely put a disproportionate amount of wear on the tires.

“Charge port doors have a lot of issues,” Sonnad told me. “We’ve had a lot of replacements on those. I think almost every car has gone through at least like, two,” going on to say that the main issue is that people manually close the doors. “They break because, I guess, they’re not designed to be manually pushed

Now you’re talking about EVs when we’re talking about PHEVs. All cars will be electrified sooner or later, BMW doesn’t gain anything by kicking that can down the road and just spending time on ICEs now.

This is a German manufacturer after all...did they actually say they were going to lower emissions, or that they were going to lower their emissions ratings?

This is an article about BMW, isn’t it? BMW can’t affect F-150 gas mileage, nor do they make any similarly difficult-to-electrify models. As you yourself said in the article, PHEVs have got to be integral to BMW’s plan.

My wife and I travel to shows at which we display and sell. We stay at Comfort Inn level hotels. We usually stay 4 nights - we don’t leave a mess - and tip $10.
