The Porsche 911 ad in the in the screenshot above... for $1219 a month!

I really love how you got Google Ads to join in the debate too! Or is Doug still shilling for Porsche?

Jeep has got an uphill battle recovering from years of terrible small SUVs like the Compass and has to have well designed, reliable products that people want to buy used - only then will the residual come up. The Fiat based Cherokee has a bad reliability rep and its looks are polarizing. Same story with the Renegade,

Yeah, I’d guess this is a Targa with the hoop removed. Really a fly flyer. Plus the flares and whale tail are aftermarket, probably the same quality as the top. But I do like Tavarish’s premise...

Neutral: How Will This Change Things For The VW Group?

In the early ‘70s I really wanted to trade my fragile Fiat 600. I had $400 in cash. For the trade and the cash a dealer offered me a choice: either a 190SL or an MG1100 sedan. I took the MG. Oh well...

Let me get this straight, the Osprey provides support, but the President uses the helicopter? Risky business, still, I guess.

Well Doug, in that case just exactly where do you love driving it? (Other than over PT Cruisers)

I’m sorry to see Lifehacker jump on the list-mania bandwagon. Just because is based on US government studies doesn’t mean its actually a valid. This is blind application of a mathematical methodology - if anything I’d expect any Gawker blog to have some fun with this and not take it seriously. Any list that includes

Let me assure you, there was no ceremony. CP

Great piece, Tyler. Was shocked, though, to see the F-35Bs actually rotate when they took off, like they were actually flying off that baby flattop. Airspeed indicator alive = rotate, I guess.

How about this nice lil’ Learjet for $128K. Use the rest of your money to actually fly it and play Miami Vice! Oh, wait - what does this mean, “12 year inspection due”? $$$$$

Don’t just sit there, drive it! Then report back on its value. Reliable supercars for $40K (and no IMS issues) - hard to beat that.

OK, not the very earliest, but I have to give some credit to the populist Model T Speedsters; this one is a 1915 chassis, though the body is a reproduction.

It looks pretty much like a bigger version of the VW Westfalia layout. How do you like it staying in it? Is there anything you find you are missing?

For 20 years I’ve had one of those Syncro Westfalias, and as we both age the idea of the new Sprinter looks good. And I probably should trade up quickly, before the 4x4 Sprinters start driving the VW market prices back down.

Neutral: Yeah or Nah on a Four-Cylinder Camaro?

Love how the CL ad devotes one line to the vehicle description, and eight lines to how it can finance it for you!

The minimalist, Bahaus lines of the super cool ‘55 ...
