The Wonders — That Thing You Do!

I've been watching Private Eyes (in the US) and enjoying it… Canadian Castle!
[fun noting all the similarities, in the characters and storylines]

The Kill Bills… I never watch one without the other. It would seem an incomplete telling of the tale.

Maybe too many red herrings here, but the last two minutes between Sherlock and Marcus was worth the wait.

alt. episode title: It's a Wonderful Grimm Life
While i liked the series a lot, the HIMYM prologue as an epilogue seemed tacked on.

So, you think Sherlock went overboard?

"What kind of wessen have you seen?"
[…] and a partridgejäger, in a pear tree.

Just a solid "A" episode.
This is about everything, except a trip to Mars (no offense Matt Damon; exception: offensive Gary Sinise).
This is a complex tale made simple: of boy-girl, father-mother, mother-daughter… and maybe chicken-egg (Okay, that's a stretch).
Random note: on a rainy afternoon, started re-watching The

Let's see, is yellow the new orange? Or would it still be the new black?

Oh yes. In a theater, your stomach will flutter up. Over the years since seeing it in '68 I've had the opportunity to view it a few more times, before the demise of revival cinema houses. At home though, with a large enough screen (and if you focus on being in the car), you can get that theater feeling!
Also, if you

Yes. No. Maybe.

When Kansas City (Adam Arkin) shows Mike Milligan his office, I was reminded of a scene in Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight (1998). There, the CEO/convict (Albert Brooks) tells George Clooney (fellow convict) about his new, seemingly meaningless job.
In both scenes: a lecture and some back and forth, with Clooney and

Next Week: As we leave the cabin by the lake, there will a wood chipper out back. And now that Dodd's legs are just so much "dead wood"…

Celebrating with a mojito! It's what Sam would want.

So… Dodd and Bear: "O brother where art thou"??

Came across a couple of stories about the real California city, Vernon, that Vinci might be based on: population 100, businesses 1000+.
Notice Ray lives right next to the police station, and the dispatcher offers the address of his son's bully as being in another jurisdiction with a questioning tone.

Sadly, or infuriatingly, the season ends as if there is going to be a second season… so no resolution to any of the story lines, but very much hopeful choirs and blue skies as we glimpse each "tribe", as written on the writers' index cards (sticky notes and software — not invented yet).

Interesting. The classical music overlayed as Katherine, Michael (nee Mikey), Wynn having their fatal/Shakespeare-ine moment has been undiscussed in this discussion.
I think we all agree — the soundtrack is a key element: Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino et al. Back to the silent days, these storytellers have thought

And recently, The Fall (two short seasons), for Gillian Anderson's terrifically strong and unique lead detective in this catch-a-killer Irish series. She, who is know for a popular sci fi series in the past.
Now, as someone in the US who has already watched weekly and completed Broadchurch S2, let me comment: not on
