Pfffft. Just make the omelet with hash browns and cheese. Or, home fries with onions and peppers, and cheese. Those are much more in tune with the texture of the eggs and the omelet in general.

I’m not near my copy of Diet, but when I get there I’ll send you a copy of that recipe.

Back in the ‘70s when I was a hippie I used to make a dish from “Diet for a Small Planet” called complementary pie, which was brown rice, eggs, cheese, onions… a lot like a quiche, but without a crust. And it had tarragon in it, and that thing rocked. It was damn good. I haven’t made it in probably 30 years, or more.

Melinda’s is my go-to hot sauce! They’re not the hottest, and don’t want to be, but they’re the best tasting. And you can actually tell them apart: the basic formula is the same, but the peppers change. So Ghost tastes different than Naga Jolokia tastes different from Scorpion, and Scotch Bonnet tastes different than R

Naw, it is foul. I can’t eat it, and neither can Mrs Mosca.

Or you could make it with ham and real potatoes? It would cost less and taste better? I dunno, just brainstorming here.

Oh man. Sumos are the most delicious citrus fruit ever, but this year the big ones were $3.29 a piece, and the boxes of the small ones were $18.39 for 8 fruits! I switched to Golden Nugget mandarins. They’re smaller, but only (!!) 99¢ each. They’re pretty good; not Sumos, but still pretty good.

Voted, checked the results, exactly what I expected.

What usually happens in cases like this is that everything is great until you get to that sorry hockey puck in the middle.

Yeah, Red Robin got those down pat, don’t they!

Mrs Mosca prefers steak fries (she is Irish). I think they’re okay, but not as good as other options (Tater Tots).

Nice car. Too much money.

Not taco salad related, but chicken piccata: if you live in an area with scores of mom and pop Italian restaurants, chicken piccata never went away. It is freakin’ delicious.

Came here to say this, looks like I’m late!

Nice.

If that’s the case then you still have to pay the carrier an additional charge to turn on the mobile hotspot.

Anything that starts with “Day One:”.

Regarding the Miata: when I bought my ‘97, I loved everything about it except that my line of sight was directly into the top of the windshield frame. The solution was to take out the seat, disassemble it, and cut 1 1/2” of padding out of the seat bottom, using an electric knife.

Not in the market. All I did was a quick Camping Word check of comparably equipped units and they run $35,000 to $50,000, because I didn’t use the actual price in my snark. Even though you can get a nice car for $150,000, you can also get a nice car for $45,000, too. I think we’re both right, it’s just perspective.

So you’re going to pay $75,000 incrementally over a nice regular trailer to save $3.75/gallon of gas. Got it.
