And Microsoft got even bigger with dubious benefit to any consumers.

So... the way I’ve been pronouncing it since 1997? Alrighty.
Take my damn star, you glorious bastard.
Only problem with that is that it’d simultaneously hurt people who had that disease and weren’t scalpers, unless the disease was somehow exclusive to scalpers.
The apologists are as bad if not worse than the scalpers themselves, and I’d guess the venn diagram of the two is probably closer to a circle.
Fuck scalpers and their apologists. They ruin literally everything they touch.
No lie, that whole setting sounds eerily similar to what I remember of The Outer Worlds’ setting. It would be interesting to me if I didn’t already know the annoying shit that you have to go through to interact with Starfield as a player.
I know, it’s a radical viewpoint. I am clearly an extremist. :P
This is great! I’m glad my friends who game on PC will be able to enjoy this amazing game soon. I played through it on my PS5 when it came out and had a blast.
I think that last bit is the part that really just makes me scratch my head. That’s the gamer equivalent of buying the same soda that you hate hoping the recipe is going to change into something you like rather than, I dunno, finding a different soda to drink (or god forbid drinking something healthier in this…
I didn’t really ask a question. I still don’t quite understand why people are willing to buy them every year, and I feel the same way about yearly Call of Duty releases. I get that the companies do make some gameplay tweaks but from the ones I’ve played those tweaks are usually not impactful enough to justify me…
I guess I’ve never fully understood why people are willing to pay for a new sports game every single year. I’ve bought a few of the NHL games and while they’re fun and I enjoy them there is no reason I would consider paying that much money every year to get an updated roster.
I’m not a huge fan of sports though, so to…
I think I feel the same way you do about Bethesda-style RPGs. I looked at Starfield, watched some gameplay for it and then went “Yeah I can wait to play that. BG3 gives me a more enjoyable RPG experience.”
I loved Skyrim and Fallout 4 when I played them, but I think the Bethesda design ethos just isn’t as interesting…
At this point the damage is already done. Fuck Unity. Every developer that is able to do so should start working toward publishing any future projects they start on something other than Unity. If it’s not feasible for a project to change mid-development, then that should be finished with Unity and they should work…
This is a net-negative for the industry. Microsoft isn’t historically a good steward of the things they buy. They are the console manufacturer with the least goodwill toward gamers as a whole.
That’s not even considering the shit they got slapped for in the 2000s re: antitrust. Fuck Microsoft.
I remember that as well. Microsoft just keeps trying to find ways to push against that restriction and honestly it’s one of the main reasons I do my best not to be a customer of theirs. It’s hard for me to avoid Windows due to the nature of the things I do for work, but I don’t think I’ll ever own another Xbox at…
I didn’t think much about him, but man... he’s been showing his true colors a LOT since 2020 and I think he needs to go.
Dang, only two keyboard keys away from billion... so close, yet so far.
I think you’re probably right. I wouldn’t mind Nintendo going “Oh hey here’s a full-powered console for this generation” at some point, but doing that they’d kneecap their future portable/console market potential because they would raise their own bar in a way that they would have trouble backing down from.
If they did buy Nintendo it would mean I'm no longer playing Nintendo games. I refuse to buy an Xbox at this point and no game will convince me otherwise.
Holy shit, just when I thought I couldn’t dislike Phil Spencer any more.
Dude’s idea of success is ‘buy all the competition’ rather than, you know, actually investing in his own developers to make better games. Sure buddy, try to buy the company that has consistently trounced the shit out of you in console sales…
