Also ... always compare vehicles when pricing.
Used to be, a minivan was really cheap to insure. (Not to mention imminently practical for a family or couple.)
But recently, I found that a late-model Chrysler Town & Country would be $300 more per year to insure over a similar-year Jeep Cherokee.
Which was a surprise to me.

I have a tri-stone that I made a little rack for, so it saddles our double kitchen sink. Then I can get a very light stream of water trickling over the stone as I work, and I’ve got plenty of light from the big kitchen window.
Works great, cleans up easy, and whenever I have a few spare minutes, I can touch up a knife,

Crossbow?
Machetes?

I insulated the attic years ago. And it is properly vented.
This is a north-side roof on a 4/12 pitch.
The sun don’t hit it in the wintertime.
The shallow pitch also ends over an Anderson sliding door — which catches the heat under eave.
It’s always nice when people say “you just need to insulate your attic,” but like

Also know this:
The restaurant might have a “delivery fee” — but often NONE of that money goes to the delivery person (at least in Michigan.)
Not for their car. Not for their gas. Not for their insurance. Not for their pay.
Many people don’t know this, and tip cheap, because, you know, there’s a “delivery fee.”

Side note:
For years we had horrific ice dams on the north side of our house in Michigan. I always thought putting on one of those heated wire kits would be a massive roof hassle, but finally measured it all out, bought one and put it on. (During the summer.)
It was very simple.
It is incredible. I plug it in, the ice

If you like bugs in your house ...
I am always amazed at people who don’t rinse their returnables, and leave the stinking, sticky mess with the grocery store folks.

More and more, I’m inclined to the Jack Reacher methodology ...

Riding our used-but-new-to-us motorcycle to Michigan from Idaho a few years back, we were pleasantly surprised by a free day at the Badlands National Park. A trip to Glacier might be in order in August, based on these dates.

AR-15s.

All great advice, to which I would add two words:
Heated grips.
Generally, if its raining, and you have to ride, your hands will get cold.
Which will slow down your reaction time, and your control “feel.”
Heated grips are always on the bike, always ready to go.
You’ll wonder how you ever did without them, rain or shine.

Well, that used to be Red Wing, but not so much anymore.
Sad.

Does anyone else notice how much these actual everyday carry bags cost?
I mean, you can get a murse or messenger bag free or really cheap just about anyplace, but a lot of these folks are making a small car payment to buy them.
Dunno. Just a thought.
