If only the matrix demo were on PC so people could rip the models from there.

A Great Rune is completely separate from the runes you use to level up

Great runes are items you get from defeating the demigods. They are buffs that get activated by using a rune arc. Rune arcs are found throughout the world and also acquired for helping other players defeat bosses in co-op.

I’m guessing it will be less of a mess and more just underwhelming? Not showing much footage could just be them being overly cautious, but it definitely doesn’t inspire confidence.

Have they released any footage of the upgrades? The store page on Xbox just has a single promotional art for screenshots, which shouldn’t be allowed.

If anyone has played previous From Soft games, the great runes and rune arcs are this game's version of humanity/effigies/embers.

FF14 has loads of microtransactions on top of paid base game, paid expansions and a monthly subscription.

You can intuit the effect, but it's not as easy to figure out why you have the effect. I played through 60 hours of the game with the debuff because I never used to poise boost

It could definitely use a big circular cursor that you slowly move around the screen to highlight stuff

All that meme is missing is an enemy with color coded level indicator for difficulty. That knight has a red skull next to its name, better steer clear!

If their female coworkers know about it, chances are they’re coming back to work and talking about it.

The first few hundred corpses are breaking the fall for the rest.

Then you die and try again when you come back. You’re gonna die a lot. It’s just another death. You’re gonna lose your souls. You can always get more. Dying in Elden Ring, more than past games, isn’t as much of a loss of progress.

I don’t believe there is a “single player only” version. You either buy the whole thing or Online standalone.

I was over 30 hours in before I learned what the guard counterattack actually was. I saw the tutorial and assumed it was just “if you hit after blocking it does more damage”. Then I spent 30 hours with dual claws not blocking.

Yes this is by far the most common joke I've seen. It was funny that one time in dark souls 3 but it's everywhere in elden ring

Or you DO want to kill certain NPCs otherwise they’ll close you off from other items/paths.

I really liked the new subclass as a hunter both lorewise and gameplay. But the grind to unlock new features and lore was too much for me.

Wait you mean people like authored campaign content with a cohesive narrative (the thing Bungie used to be known for) and not doing boring repetitive tasks for little lore trickles?

You gotta consider how people are watching it. They’re watching very compressed, low res videos on their phones, probably not even full screen. And most people don’t know what actual fighter jet combat looks like (myself included).
