Yup. Not sure if the author didn’t play Overwatch when it originally launched but hero limits in quick play were not a thing. I have fond experiences of what called “Flight of the Bumblebees” - 6 D.Vas flying out of Anubis’ offensive starter area.

I dunno, it’s kind of funny to me that players are saying ‘what’s the point of just making it a copy of Arcade’ because back when they originally removed hero limits and later added role locks I remember all the players wondering ‘what’s the point of just making it a copy of Competitive.’

Bingo, I’ve played Overwatch for years but it never felt the same after the pivot to competitive focus. Yeah they allowed No Limits to be an Arcade mode where they never had to look at it again but the spirit of the community was different.

The day competitive overwatch became a thing it was the doom of the game.
All the worst qualities of the community started showing, they fucked up characters trying to chase unattainble balance, the quickplay queue sort of died because most players flocked to be silver scrubs, and then they kept enforcing the new unfun

It does strike me as trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. They harmed the game tremendously chasing their competitive and esports dreams. Now the entire game design has been shaped around that. You’d need to do a lot more than change the limits in Quick Play to recapture the spirit that I and many others

A series with 2 entries and 3 remasters

Yeah, that Stephanie Joosten interview was actually really interesting and covered a lot of great stuff. But what did every single headline say? “Quiet actress discusses the character’s skimpy outfit” along with a picture of Quiet bent over or whatever. Not a picture of Joosten, just of one of the characters she

this site is absolute obsessed with writing about Amouranth when there are soooo many women streaming doing sooo many amazing things.

“Arin Hanson left his used diaper at the truck stop on the I-10 and didn’t pick it up and I had to pick it up and now I’m extremely sick with poo disease.” A review by @Truthteller43235

When I bought Hotwheels Unleashed on my Series X I bought the Xbox One edition by accident, not realizing that this game has a dedicated Series X/S version (no smart delivery for this game).

engagement at that level keeps the population up and the game running.  Most people don’t complete them.

The internet and websites we frequent are just overall shittier than they were 10, even 5 years ago. More and more places disappearing, more and more consolidation with things being worse for the end user/customer.

A friend once observed to me that Twitter is very much the junior high of social media sites for Gen-Xers and older Millenials. It’s mostly people mocking other people, but occasionally somebody cool will do something neat or an authority figure will make an announcement. Which will probably also get dunked on. So like

I’d say the most controversial change is stuffing the game with microtransactions and live service bullshit in an effort to create a perpetual money machine for sex criminal executives.

Yea I want Unbound as well but something tells me that will be 40-50 for Christmas and maybe bite then.

At the rate they are going simplifying designs, soon they will just be balls with faces.

Don’t do this and stop advertising this, Lifehacker. By using this exploit you’re only encouraging publishers to stop supporting regional pricing and hurting people from developing countries (like mine) that can’t pay the standard US price.

Being gaslit by CDPR stans is wild.

The single player is terrible, the multiplayer is... more Halo? I was a huge fan of Halo back in the day, and while I still love Xbox, I haven’t really enjoyed Halo since Reach. They should have let it die with Bungie. That said, Infinite is really not a bad multiplayer Halo game. It’s a little faster than Bungie’s
