The long throws on an old manual pickup trucks are great. Had 3 manual Fords along the years including one with a manual 4x4 transfer case. Does anyone even make a manual pickup anymore?

Utter nonsense. Your entire rationale is flawed and biased. What’s next? All drivers should drive the same speed so nobody’s feelings gwt hurt and everyone can get a participation trophy? What they could do is what Price is Right did... Start employing male models as well.

But you cannot only talk about HP and ignore torque. Its like a baking recipe telling you to bake at 400 degrees but doesn’t mention the time. The two measures are inseperable. Additionally, torque is more relevant in trucks than in sports cars. My motorcycle motor has more HP than any 1 liter car engine on the

I had a 1986 Carrera, which I sold, for 16k more than I bought it, 2 years ago. Used that money for a house down payment, and this winter picked up a 2001 996 for 15k less than I sold my 86. Best decision I ever made, zero regrets.

So if the autopilot still requires the full attention of the driver, why use it? As someone who considers themselves a “driver” I would never use this feature unless I could check out and take a nap. So until the technology reaches that point (if ever) I dont see the usefulness. At this poinr its like a pinball

Normal elevators have what amounts to curtain sensors at the doors. Any object anywhere in the doorway will trip it. Seems like a giant guillotine like this should have some type of additional safety measure apart from a bump on the floor. Nevertheless the driver who parked it is ultimately responsible in my opinion.

“cater to the anglophone minoroty”? you mean to tax paying citizens? How bbenevolent!! Last time I checked there is no laws that make French signs and communication illegal in the rest of Canada. Your belief that the Quebec government treats its English speaking, tax paying, citizens better than how francophones are

Fail.

Next, an article on why we should remember to breathe.

English = Miles & Galons. England has since switched to the metric system along with the rest of the world. In Canada its all metric except for air and water pressure... Thats still in PSI. For this reason when I switch the display in my Corvette from English to Metric I dont understand the oil pressure in kPa

Here’s mine, an 87... It has ABS brakes AND traction control as standard equipment which I didnt even know existed untill the 90's. Paid $7,500 Canadian for it 2 years back. These cars are a bargain, V8 engine, super car roof height, independent rear suspension (that mustangs only got in 2015) clamshell hood, pop up

Paypal maybe, but Tesla is a multi billion dollar company that has not make 1$ in profit and may run out of money before it ever does.

What’s scariest is that many people buy supreme gas because advertising has led them to believe it is cleaner and better for the environment. I run regular even where supreme is mandated without issue. In fact on my 2016 sport bike I get better fuel economy with regular gas even though it indicates higher octane.

Speaking of bending the rules , how about the McLaren MP4/12 F1 car with a fouth pedal for brake steer.

Redeeming feature: rear wheel drive.

We can’t get freight trains to run by themselves, which run on a predefined track, and we expect that we will have millions of cars interacting with each other and their environment within 20 years? 30? 50? Most cities can’t figure out synchronized lights.... Dont look to infrastructure to solve thr problem either.

Here is another piece of advice: MAINTAIN. Dont over react, smooth movements, gradual braking. I have personally been victim and have seen other accidents where people over react as a knee jerk reaction and wheras in the summer it would cause the car to momentarily swerve or lurch, in winter snow it will initiate a a

The most naïve nonsense i’ve heard all day. An idea a child would come up with. The majority of traffic lights are not synchronized or not synchronized well, technology and know-how thats existed for decades, yet all of a sudden we will have ‘smart’ roads.

100% chance he ‘mistook’ the gas for the brake. Thats what happens with these old pple... They accidentally press the gas then stomp on it full force in an attempt to stop. One part of their old brain is telling them to press the brake hard as a reflex but another part of their old brain forgot to move the foot over 3

I think you have a false perception of traffic and driving. If you have to avoid near accidents on a daily basis then by chance alone your number should come up frequently and you should be involved in frequent accidents. But you don’t.  The more likely explanation is that you are frightened or spooked by others’
