My mom was from that generation and watched a lot of those: Astro Boy, Gigantor, Kimba, Speed Racer and I believe 8-Man. That’s the ones she’s told me about. She hasn’t watched any new anime, but it’s just what she watched as a kid. There must have been some success that they kept bringing them over.
