You'd think any school that forces its gay students to stay in the closet would be all about beards.

Avoid being sexually attractive

I know I'm in the grays, but this really needs the Archie Beat Off cover:

OK, that makes sense, because everyone on campus is sort of in on the joke, right? But I doubt that a student leading a tour of high schoolers and their parents would say "and if you'll just follow me through this rape tunnel, we'll head over to the library"

I do think women saying that to each other has a different context than a bunch of guys showing this room to a woman and saying "We call this the rape room." Also, the students aren't at work.

CVS is where I go to stuff my purse full of cheap candy and soda before I head out to the movies. So, so much for the integrity of being "a setting where health care is delivered."

Probably it was a totally stupid joke about the room being isolated/messy/vaguely spooky and somebody said "this is the type of place where people get raped." And because some men are idiots, it stuck as a nickname.

She complains that she didn't have a private place, but then acknowledges she "didn't want" to go back to the minivan. LADY YOU GET THAT BABY AND THAT POO BACK TO THE MINIVAN OR YOU DON'T GO OUT IN PUBLIC.

Here's a much better attempt by artist bloochikin on deviant art. Hers actually manages to keep the fun and off kilter personalities of the characters instead of turning them into generic and bland fashion models.

Minor point of contention, were they actually going to exclude them, or just charge them the standard fee?

This is what happens when you try to get free shit from sleazy people.

Man, that guy just kept harping on her! He asked for a photo, she said no, making it clear she'd just take the party somewhere else, and he just kept on coming back at her. He seems awfully desperate for someone promoting "The #1 nightclub in America!"

That's a good point, but I think this article focused a lot on the ambiguity of the Jaime-Cersei rape because it mirrors some awful preconceptions about sex that "excuse" rape (the author even takes the time to list them). Which is a more specific critique, but also, and I may get flayed alive for saying this, there

There was so much more sexual violence in the books. Particularly during the King's Landing riot and at Harrenhal. I do think seeing the events at Craster's came off really badly in ways they didn't intend after the horrible sept scene. But yeah, to compare the show unfavorably to the books in this regard is

Are we sure the girls didn't just make it up?

you have to wonder whether they ACTUALLY believe this, or whether it's an almost troll-like cover story.

"Good on 2 Million Bikers for meeting bare minimum standards of human decency, I guess."

Is that Good Girl Gina?

The early Microman/Micronauts vehicles of the 1970's were really more like interchangeable parts-formers instead of Transformers. Biotron and Microtron were cool looking of course, but it wasn't until the Micro-Change and Diaclone lines of the early '80s that we really got transforming robots from that particular

Korean is the look he was going for. From the article: "was inspired to look more Korean after spending time in the country on exchange." But he picked a Chinese-sounding pseudonym, which is a little confusing.
