I may be one of the few people who thought Rob Zombie’s Halloween II was one of the best in the series. Unlike the initial remake, it’s not indebted to the original, realistically deals with PTSD, and it’s straight-up psycho bonkers and horrific. It’s the most original Halloween sequel since Halloween III, which

I am envious that you had enthusiasm in the first place. This franchise is *very* dead.

Yes. And I liked CG Leia, too.

As much as I love Laura Dern (especially in Twin Peaks, fuck you), I thought she was terribly miscast in TLJ. The purple wig was ridiculous, hearing her say “May the force be with you” was cringe-y...I couldn’t help but feel like she was reading her lines and saying to herself “What the fuck am I doing here.”

I think Fisher would find it funny. This is a woman who wanted her ashes be put in an urn shaped like a pill of Prozac.

Ah, so I see that now according to comments, Radiohead is now cool to hate. “Overrated” and “boring”. IMO, one of the all-time great bands. No one has been this good musically for this long.

“Sight”

I guess you had no problem with the TIE Bombers dropping bombs on the asteroids looking for the Falcon in ESB. Please shut up.

Roth is one of the hackiest directors alive. Aside from Hostel and Cabin Fever, his movies make no money. His movies are derivative (Knock, Knock and Green Inferno), gratuitous crap. How he keeps getting gigs is beyond me. He also ruined Inglorious Basterds for me.

Having said that, I do love the trailer for

How can we get AV Club to dump Kinja and go back to Disqus?

Really? This was some years ago, but I’ve watched it in the theater and with women, all of whom laughed during the rape scene. It’s so terribly done and stupid, my only instinct was to laugh. What you describe sounds like the rape scene in Deliverance, not Showgirls. But art affects everyone differently, even bad art.

He’s right. I kept scrolling down looking for that scene to be mentioned. It’s a huge fail. Even if these two staffers are right (and they’re not), one could also argue that the scene in which Nomi is attempting to seduce Kyle (I forget his character’s name) via stripping should be on the list. For God’s sakes, she

I know it’s a unique take, but for me it would be like retconning the relationship between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. As a kid since I saw Halloween II first (on TV), so I’ve never thought of Laurie as some random victim as she was intended in the original.

Jake Lloyd?

LOVED Twin Peaks and DELIGHTED Stranger Things is nowhere to be found.

When does the fog clear? For me, it was brilliant. If anything, it will likely gain appreciation.

This list demands Kyle MacLachlan for Twin Peaks. Without him, it’s invalid.

I love that the trailer uses the soundtrack from Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

In Lost Highway as well....

Yeah, I’m not sure it’s hubris. Coop’s mission was to destroy the evil (Judy). Laura is the key to that happening. Coop seems to understand more about Judy than has been let on previously (as evidenced by what Cole said), so he knows that he needs to bring her to confront Sarah Palmer, who is currently hosting Judy.
