A friend had a cat that could catch birds while tied up and wearing a bell collar.

My mom used to make brussels sprouts on occasion, and I would eat them, but never really liked them much. They are now relegated to the list of “things I don’t have to ever eat anymore”.
I also had same crush so loved seeing Xanadu in the theater.
Um, did you mean “flue”?
You don’t prune a lilac, you flush cut 1/3rd of the old growth down to the ground each year until it’s manageable. Or you just go scorched earth and cut it all back and you will have a nice smelling flowering shrub in 5 years.
I’ll tell you again Charlie, Mel Brooks and Wade Boggs are very much still alive.
‘You should try modeling for stock photos, it’ll be fun!’ they said. (Famous last words.)
I don’t know how I ended up in the greys in lifehacker but sure seems like I’m gonna be here until the site shuts down. It seems like they are intentionally breaking the sites more and more. The writers don’t even interact with the comment section anymore.
Couldn’t agree more.
My fridge filter does a great job of scrubbing the chlorine smell.
That’s what my tap water smells like. Fortunately I live next to a water filtration company and can get my 5 gallon jug refilled for $2.00
Having worked in this industry before I can tell you for certain that for at least one of the big names in bottled water (that is purified and not spring water or the like) a lot more goes into it than just bottling tap water. The margin really isn’t even that impressive on that product, sodas net more.
A lot of municipal water systems actually have more stringent purity standards than bottled water companies.
I grew up using drinking fountains and to this day I’ve never owned a water bottle. But kudos to whoever figured out you can put tap water in a disposable bottle and sell it. Next thing you know they’ll have canned air.
Yep, I’ve been coming to these sites since the 2010-2011 timeframe and it’s really sad what it has turned into. A lot of these sites used to be really really good and now it’s more something to check out of habit than anything.
There is hardly any interaction happening here anymore and anytime someone in the grays comments I can’t even see it to star it because when I click show pending they all disappear. I’m pretty sure hardly any of the bloggers read the comments on their articles and respond as well. It’s not like there’s too much to…
yeah how is a site this big, this broken?
A huge part of the problem is Kinja stopped working properly. You can’t see responses to your comments by clicking your notifications (yes, I realize the Alanis Morrissette-ian levels of irony I’m reaching here) without scrolling through every comment. That pretty well smothers any decent chance at conversation in the…
