I’m an admitted Sony mark but I can’t deny how special Phil Spencer has been for Xbox. His willingness to try anything and everything is admirable. He’s a true gamer and honestly, Xbox Game Pass is the greatest value in gaming.

From my impressions of Phil Spencer over the years (in articles). I think he is one of the few executives that truly understands gamers. He’s making smart moves that are pushing things forward rather than holding them back. I would love to know what he does to get the pulse of the gaming community.

What do you expect? A new console generation is coming out in just over a year. It makes sense that the marquee titles will be aimed at the new generation, so they won’t necessarily have gameplay footage ready.

There’s nothing to question yet when they haven’t announced this yet, but after talking to some folks in the know after this post went live, I can assure you that it’s real - Larian is making Baldur’s Gate 3. And as soon as I have the chance, I’ll be asking them these questions and many more.
