You are on the list, it occasionally is delivered in person a 3 AM on a weeknight.

The asshole Nationals fans on staff were whining this morning about giving up prospects for an actual dominant workhorse starter, and they deserve to never win anything ever.

I posted this elsewhere...

It was also windy as fuck in the eastern half of the country today.

Why should Maddon care what happens to Chapman next year? He’s an impending FA and the general consensus is that he’s gonna sign with the Yankees. If he helps win the Cubs a WS this year and sucks going forward, that’s not Maddon’s concern.

Cross country produces some of the harrier situations in sports.

The guy has the wherewithal to film in landscape, in a life threatening situation, and it gets posted in vertical.

Now we see the violence inherent in the system!

“Protect the shield! Fine for every hit under the sun! Now stay tuned for the biggest hits from the week, half of which result in fines, brought to you by Taco Bell!”

Whoa whoa, pump your breaks. Herman is way too forward thinking for Notre Dame. He likes his teams to score points.

It’s amazing how ridiculously unaware people are to the open mockery of Native Americans. My son is a Cub Scout, and we just did a family camping trip. One of the dads, an Irish Catholic originally from New England, wore a Native American headdress the entire weekend. My wife is half Cherokee, and while generally very

In all honesty, I was just looking for an excuse to rag on Dusty. And for what it’s worth, baseball writers with far more experience and brainpower agree with you. Dave Cameron’s piece today explains it pretty well.

Very true. But, as great as he is, Scherzer has a history of giving up dingers. So, it’s not unreasonable to worry he was headed down that path. The bases were empty and the bullpen had been good throughout the series.

But did Dusty let Scherzer keep the game ball?

You make great game observations, I hear you loud and clear! I agree with everything up until your last graph. Dude you’ve had a team in DC for what, like 6 months? And you’re already bailing? You don’t know how good you’ve had it with the playoff appearances already in the team’s young history!  Fans of most baseball

I don’t think pulling Max was the obvious decision though. He gave up a solo HR; damage is done but the bases were empty and it was still a tie game. I would have gone out to see how he felt and kept him in for one more batter, as he seemed to have recovered from the bases-loaded jam two innings prior.

The play there for Dusty wasn’t to bring in Melancon. It was to leave Max in. It seemed like he still had plenty of gas still in the tank - the home run wasn’t a bad pitch. And Max often throws upwards of 115 to 120 pitches in his regular season starts. Why they took out their best pitcher in a tie game after they had

the last guy who mattered enough for me to remember him, then.
