@RockSteadyisMyHomeboy: I never said that they were comforted by that. I'm just pointing at that you were generalising hugely, and using a sensational (albeit true) story to assist your argument.

@JGab: It was an audio dvd, which provides a much higher bit rate and general quality than cds - plus it was in 5.1 surround, so each channel had to be included in the FLAC container. FLAC is so versatile though, to be able to contain all of that without freaking out. You couldn't do that with mp3, as far as I'm

Anyone know if this includes UK Blockbuster stores?

@pandafresh: "because Multi-platform means less time to focus on creating one, solid game." Not necessarily: if the game is conceived of from the beginning as ending up multiplatform, then it shouldn't impact on development time or how solid the game is. And as it is, even multiplatform games don't provide the same

@DocSeuss: Me too, it'll look SO GOOD on PC :-)

@SteveZim1017: Well... what if you lose the CD? It's less of a pain redownloading music (especially if you just pirate the second copy, because you've already technically purchased it) than it is buying the CD again...

@JGab: WAVS are outrageous, but FLACS are actually great, and not that big (a FLAC album is typically 200-300mb, whereas a decent quality MP3 album (eg. V0 and not 128kbps or whatever) will run to 100-150MB roughly. Plus FLACS can be encoded in surround sound, even though that requires a lot more space. As an example

@RockSteadyisMyHomeboy: Also, you mean 'this is what happened one time when cops followed a logic trail rather than completing their due diligence and following procedure.' Because if it happened every time that would just be silly, Mr. Exaggeratey.

@VincentGrey: There would presumably never be just one console - if anything, there's going to end up being one distribution service that streams games directly to your tv and streams your input back (cloud gaming yadda yadda).

@pandafresh: Why, why, would you want more exclusives? If a developer can bring their game to as large an audience as possible, why wouldn't you want that to happen? The only, ONLY reason is so you can be a console fanboy and gloat about exclusives. If you love the medium of games, then you should want them to reach

@Vecha: I can't wait for the diamond age :-) Shit's gonna get real and it's gonna be sweeeeet.

@JGab: I agree with your argument about physical media, but I can't possibly agree with your argument for browsing. If anything, browsing is easier at online retailers - you can look up a band and see their entire discography in front of you, therefore being alerted to new releases without your eye having to be

@notverycreative: Wait, what? Are you making this judgement based on these five screenshots? The game has looked great to me so far.

@Fenring: The tyranids ate them. WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THE SQUATS.

OH my GOD! Take me, Team Ninja! Take me right now!

@the7k: Where on earth did you find this magical piece of entertainment?
