well actually, in most places, cyclists have the absolute right to use the roadways (as citizens using public infrastructure), whereas drivers use them as a privilege.

the problem with your response is that this issue has been studied extensively for literally decades, and all the research and data support the author.
that’s insane. why would you operate a bicycle like a car. these two vehicles are radically different in virtually every way.
because... that would be a huge waste of time and resources? cyclists breaking laws have an incredibly minor impact on injuries and deaths compared to motorists breaking laws - if cops are struggling to stop the motorists, why would they then shift focus to a vastly more minor problem???
this is such weird logic. your particular anecdote doesn’t replace actual data. do people actually not understand that?
i mean you say you’re ‘aware’, but what you’re saying is just factually wrong. a 370z is 4.8 - 5.2 seconds 0 - 60 and 13.5ish seconds in the 1/4.
a 370z is much faster than a toyota sienna... you don’t have to make up stuff about a car if you don’t like it. you’re allowed to not like stuff.
uh, okay. if your point is ‘cops are lazy’ then it has no relevance to the topic at hand. at all.
i feel like it is though. enforcement is done with labour hours, there’s only so many of those to go around. so long as that’s the case, let’s concentrate on the drivers crushing people to death on a regular basis.
yea, but i see drivers break laws every day too, and enforcement doesn’t seem to have any impact.
...uh if you mistake a R35 for a Z you need to get some glasses. preferably before you drive anywhere.
even if it worked perfectly, i don’t understand where it’s supposed to pick you up from. none of the parking lots i frequent have ‘pick up’ areas in front of the doors...? do some places have these?
if only you read as well as you...uh...wrote meaningless posts?
plus, you can see the appeal. for a government to build lots and lots of solar panels, it needs to own lots and lots of a flat, hard surface. like a road!
this is a wonderful article, with charming language.
pointing out you were following too closely - as you obviously were - is ‘attacked them as some breach of sanity?’ really? i mean... actually if that’s how you characterize someone simply pointing out the obvious, that explains a lot.
well i ride a motorcycle in la sometimes, so actually i want to *not* die on this hill, or any other.
i honestly can’t tell if you’re being serious.
possibly it was intended as an effective ban against cars anywhere livestock were likely to be encountered.
