As funny as I think all of Mike Meyer’s ‘So I Married an Axe Murderer’ is, Grodin still steals the film with his cameo. That’s saying a lot about a movie with Phil Hartman in it. 

I’m sorry, calling Grodin a “Beethoven star” is like calling Christopher Walken a “Kangaroo Jack” star. Do better.

I still think she should be in Star Wars and her character name should just be her real name.

I know. I just stopped reading right there. That’s just fucking embarrassing. Even if you misheard the name (and at first I wasn’t sure who he was talking about when he said the name), it’s quite obvious from Mare’s and Mare’s mom’s reactions that Mare’s mom was the “other woman.”

How did you manage to miss that Mare’s mom is the one who had the affair with Mr. Carroll? What did you think she was laughing about in the car?

I skipped SNL (did you see who they let host?!?), but I did watch that clip online and laughed my ass off. Then watching the show the memory of the spoof had me laughing at extremely inappropriate points of the episode.

Ugh that was the worst: “your names are funny! laugh good-naturedly!”

Yeah its blindingly clear that was the intention. Goes to show don’t assume anything when planning an event, it merely makes an ass out of you. At least this confirms that the Academy doesn’t actually know who won until the envelope is opened, although that was pretty clear during the great mix up moment.
