Very few of those pink-hatted protestors come from western Iowa, which is King’s stronghold. I lived on that side of the state for several years, and I was extremely happy to leave it.

I live in Iowa, and western Iowa is like an entirely different state. We’re a small state, but the western and eastern sides are almost complete opposites.

I attended Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-Iowa) meeting in Iowa Falls. It did NOT go well. Some guy told a lady to shut her hole, and another guy said all the “Democrat fruitcakes” can leave. My fellow educators have received boilerplate letters from Sen. Grassley essentially stated he trusts Trump’s decision. Oh yeah, and DeVos won’t MAKE the educational laws; she’ll just ENFORCE them. She is also great for public schools!
