Yeah, I do my best. The only thing I intentionally deviate from sometimes is the listed cook time for the protein, mostly if it’s meat or chicken. Their cook times just seem too short for the meat to get cooked through all the way. I blame my paranoia on a few horrific episodes of food poisoning that I managed to…

I think that’s a big part of my problem. I transitioned from using an electric stove to a gas stove recently and boy is there a huge difference between the two. It’s been a steep learning curve.

Wow. I totally thought I was just a shitty cook. I tried Blue Apron recently and nearly all of their meals calls for frying/sautéing something in olive oil. I set the smoke alarm off about 75% of the time. My dogs get upset and I’m trapped in a stinking, smoky house for the next several hours. So, this is good to know.
