I also wondered if someone was bothered by it being placed there by a fictional couple and/or US television show.

Precisely - let's take a show that was performing mildly well once a week on basic cable and expand it to 4 nights a week on a brand new deep digital channel people don't know exists/can't locate/don't know is available on their cable package and be surprised with it struggles to find ratings
Only what a had to fast-forward through to get to New Girl…
This morning there was a significant amount of talk about the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and the narrative has decreed that not only is the band old, but anyone who is/was a fan of their music is also old….
I recall a couple of local morning DJ's discussing a previous controversy regarding the Asian community. The one DJ was perplexed as to why the particular spokesperson, who was of Indian, had the nerve to be outraged saying (without a hint of irony) "What's this guy's problem - India isn't in Asia"
"Romance" was the most American ad of the night!
The promo (it wasn't really an ad, per se) that I remember most was the NFL's disclaimer featuring their logo scorched into a continent.

Christ, SU won?! Ugh - I swore the guy in line at the cashier next to me said they lost. Then again, he wasn't exactly sober…
That's a fair point. Trying to run errands last night was difficult enough as every one poured home after the college game. I'm pleased Duke won (for a number of reasons) else the energy would have been even more frantic…
Such an ugly void for a Sunday night of tv…
I didn't know a series of AHS was possible without featuring the awkward sexual hang-ups of McDermott, staged as uncomfortably as possible for the viewing audience.
Ryan Murphy doesn't care about black people.
I can't be the only one thinking of Dance Academy…
Didn't know this was a thing, but putting "Christina Ricci…playing Lizzie Borden" in a sentence is enough to incur my disdain. The Lifetime affiliation is just the icing on my cake of loathing…
