A Bret Easton Ellis project criticized for its "deadness"? Colour me shocked.

And clearly you're such a fine individual as to be a judge of character.
A horrible thought just occurred to me - there's an exec somewhere salivating over how many song downloads this is going to generate.
I was just talking about this with a friend. That day is cemented in my mind - I came home from a summer course I was taking to the breaking news. That shot of the officer carrying his daughter off the property is still haunting…
This was not the story I expected to read this morning… I won't say that Monteith and Gandolfini were on the same level, but both times I came across the headline I thought this had to be some sort of bullshit internet hoax…
I don't like to be one of those "Oh I can't be bothered to watch news, it's like, such a total downer" twits, but christ - the past few weekends have been nothing but one depressing story after the next.
…which I'm sure will not be mishandled in any way…
Not to go immediately cynical (I still can't even process this news - so unexpected), but Glee has been so shit at handling The Big Issues in their fictional universe, I can't imagine how they'll deal with a real world tragedy.
I'd like to look back fondly on those early Friends episodes, but those last few seasons forever tarnished the show for me.
I love how random the US references came across ("You're Americans, you've got talent").
It felt like it was practically the entire cast!
Lesson learned from 2013 TV: the more ambivalent I am watching the promos for a show, the better the chances I'm going to stumble onto something interesting that I'm really going to love (see also Rectify, The Americans, and perhaps also The Bridge).
So many great informative docs out there discussing issues that people need to know (especially since the news media can't be bothered), but so often it leaves one frustrated and heart broken.
I'm excited for this at the very least in my hope that it will give otaku a break from pissing and moaning about The Hunger Games so they can instead bitch about Del Toro "ripping off" EVA/every other mech anime.
Maybe it's a good thing that a lot of geeks are underachievers and not making vast amounts of money. $30,000 Iron Throne replicas suggest fangirls/boys and money don't mix…
I have been innundated with ads for USA's Summer Camp and I was really confused when I first heard this show mentioned as being a dramedy and not a reality show. Did someone at NBC-Universal issue a camp show mandate?
Was about to make a "no, it's his middle name/Pilot Inspektor" joke, but I just strained my optic nerve from rolling my eyes too hard…
Peter Sarsgaard seems always up for any opportunity to sport a 70s porn-stache these days…
Just when you think the Money-Fucker Channel has run out of ideas…
This is what I find so distasteful about Shonda Rhimes - if you look back at the first two seasons of Grey's Anatomy, you can see that's she's capable of making a show that isn't complete schlock (hospital prom aside). Remember the S01 finale that ended on a cliffhanger based on a character reveal, and not an…
