No reason to take issue - I don't know anyone in the US who identifies as Liberal/Progressive who has ever considered Obama as anything other than centrist. I even remember Rachel Maddow saying as much when she was interviewed around the time Obama took office.

He may not go after Obama as much as he ought to, but he's certainly goes after  other Democrats on a regular basis.

I feel like there must be someone who leans conservative who still managed to be a decent satirist, but I suppose my straining to come up with a single name ought to be enough of an indicator.

In my experience the movie(s) and the series share the same fanbase, and both are pretty obscure for mainstream audiences.
