The one benefit of being a displaced Canadian trapped in the US Northeast is that college hockey is strong enough to keep one distracted when there's no NHL.

I was under the impression that every Ryan Murphy project is all about Ryan Murphy…

Add me to the "Wheels Ontario" fan-base. I thought it was fantastic. Granted, my friends and I have an ongoing joke about bags of milk (and Americans lack of knowledge of), but for once this was a poke at Canadian culture that suggested someone behind it might actually have been to Canada.

Haven't seen any mention of American Experience yet so I'd thought I'd praise it here. Really great stuff. I think special on the Lincolns was my favourite from last year and the one currently airing about The Abolitionists is really interesting.

Our PBS affiliate has 3 to 4 different channels (at least on digital cable) and I've spotted a number of classic films and a few classic tv shows on the schedule.

I've spent loads buying from the PBS online store. They have some sort of sale going every week so their pricing is competitive with mostother online retailers.

Speaking of PBS love - is anyone else watching The Abolitionists on American Experience? It's a tad heavy on the re-enactments, but packed full of info that usually gets glossed over in social studies…

Well most problems we either haven't fixed or we're doomed to repeat so all the episodes are fairly relevant.

NBC - Just when you think they've made the worst decision they could possibly make, they somehow manage to top it…

I loved every bit of this episode from Eli's eye-rolls to "I see now - you're Rambo."

Yes, but the petty bickering the panel descended into about whether or not the German cyclist was suspended in favour of the French cyclist was a nice skewering of exactly the sort thing that happens in international competition…

It depends on what degree you considered her "out" -

Ah, you beat me to it!

Honestly the only part of Carrie's history I can recall (and I recently re-watched the series out of several personal curiosities), was that she "rode the subway and wore Candies" when she was first off the bus as asserted by Stanford.

Ah Lost Girl - even when it's not great, it's still a pleasant little bit of fantasy…

It feels like they are basically the same show at this point, except Cheadle wears nicer suits.

I can't help but wonder if there isn't a cut scene somewhere…

Same shit, different season…

Can we also talk about why Deception got a better table than Girls?
