Damn, I was supposed to be back north of the border today - yet another reason to be sad that my plans fell through…

I couldn't help but notice that the new Upstairs, Downstairs acts like the class system was just a mere formality, yet Made in Jersey expects the audience to be astonished that in the year 2012 a girl from Jersey could make it in the Big City - as a Fancy Lady Lawyer no less!

So we've got yet another Sherlock on US network television, each day there's announcement of yet another Dickens/Austen/Bronte adaptation, and I've completely lost count of all the fairy tale based stuff that's being thrown at us. And now more Titanic…

I've been annoyed with the Copper hashtags as well. #DontEatTheFruitcake was mildly amusing given that episode was rather light, but last weeks were in exceptionally poor taste, particularly if the plot of the show is meant to strike some sort of dramatic/emotional chord. I any case, it must have bothered enough

When people get their knickers in a twist about Downton Abbey romanticizing English aristocracy  it's apparent they've never laid eyes on the new Upstairs, Downstairs. I found the first series to be insanely rose-tinted in it's depiction of service and the class system.

I've got to disagree with you there…

I'm surprised NBC hasn't gotten into the whole hashtag craze that Fox (and BBC America oddly enough) love so much.
