So long as this show doesn't completely fall apart, I will promise to tune in on the basis that 1) Justin Kirk is the star, and 2) I love that a national show is voicing what so many of us who work with animals have known for so long - most animal's problems are that the people who own them suck.

I'll third that - I really liked Dogget and Patrick's performance. Whatever problems X-Files was having at the point of his introduction were the fact that it was a tired, flagging show after 7 previous seasons of weighty mythology taking it's toll.
