Who was asking for a Guardians of the Galaxy movie? Not defending the decisions of either Fox or WB, but that’s a shit argument.

No, Jason is in no way self-aware enough to recognize when he’s being petty. If he even knows the word.
True. Also sort of not true? If the star exploded 7799 years ago in it’s reference frame, it’ll explode next year in our reference frame, when the explosion’s light cone reaches us. With the relativity of simultaneity and all, it really makes the most sense to just talk about things from your own reference frame.
Granted, it’s not exactly likely that Eta Carinae will explode in our lifetimes. However, there is a significant chance, and hope springs eternal.
I know. At least one astronomer has said it could go tomorrow, though.
Eta Carinae could actually go supernova in the astronomically near future. It’s become visible a few times before from smaller stellar events, comparable Alpha Centauri, so a supernova would definitely be visible.
It truly is deeply frustrating, and I suspect that most people won’t cotton to it. Although I do think that increased competition in the marketplace will drive prices down and quality up. Also, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if the various streaming services start selling streaming rights to their shows to each…
Well there’s a big fat middle finger to Netflix. I predict a substantial migration from Netflix whenever When You Wish Upon A Stream (working title) gets up and running.
Embrace the pedantry. The more meanings a word has, the less meaning it has. Specificity is what makes a language rich and beautiful, so don’t let word like this die out.
That said, if the show itself calls them dragons, it’s most appropriate to call them dragons.
I feel vindicated.
The simple fact that this show includes an organization called the Citadel of Ricks head jumped it from “sounds interesting” to “must binge-watch tonight.”
Yeah, I just keep making new free trial accounts with new Gmails and credit card numbers generated by Privacy.
Or, you know, get rid of minimum wage so human workers are more economical than robots.
Beat me to it.
If the Tick doesn’t yell “Spoon!” some time during this...
But seriously, that was a great pilot. I’m super-excited.
The comparison to murder is made in the movie itself. It’s iffy, I agree. However, he did kind of commit rape by deception in sleeping with her, given that she would never have had sex with him had she known that she woke him up.
Jim waking Aurora up was an incredibly selfish act. I know this. It’s akin to murder, to kidnapping, even to rape. But... everyone messes up big time now and then. Jim woke Aurora in a moment of weakness while he was literally going insane from isolation. This guy was in complete isolation for a year. That does things…
Yeah, I mentioned that possibility in the second paragraph. He made some progress to the point where he could be in a romantic relationship, however shallow, but all his insecurities and antisocial tendencies came crashing back down on his head when Wildstyle rejected him for Emmett.
Where does this movie fit in the timeline with The Lego Movie? Batman’s much more of a loner at the start of this movie than at the end of the last movie, so it feels The Lego Batman movie needs to come first. But then where’s the Batfamily in The Lego Movie? And how could there be slight references to The Lego Movie?

The observable universe is centered exactly on Earth, because the observable universe is just the sphere within which light has had time to reach Earth.
