Did he? I don't remember any explanation of letting that kid die.

It's kind of disproven in the episode, isn't it? Bill even points that out. ^^ But it's interesting that The Doctor isn't self-aware about this.

The episode wasn't written by Moffat though.

I really hope that isn't the case, but it sounds like something Moffat would do.

:( I'll miss Capaldi (though I've only seen his first season and this one).

Speaking of excellent scenery chewing. :P

I find Capaldi's Scottish accent more difficult than the previous English ones, though I still understand it (for context: I'm Swedish). It's definitely not the most common accent on the type of TV shows that are hits globally.

    She better!

The previous 4 seasons are definitely worth watching for the quality and the great characters! I think Matt Smith could have been a great Doctor, but his run started when Moffat took over the show, so what came before was generally better (very subjective statement - I don't know what kind of reviews the different

They''ll also miss the Tenth Doctor. :P

If you don't feel up to starting with the 60s series (I still haven't watched more than a couple of episodes of tht, so no judgement here if that's the case) I really think series 1 from 2005 is a good place! Christopher Eccleston was a great Doctor, and Rose a great companion. If you want to catch up to the current

    What's wrong with "chavvy"?

    That would have been amazing.

    Interesting!

Why can't you criticize something just because it's happened with all previous companions as well? DW isn't perfect, so I think there are some recurring issues still worth mentioning in a review. :P

It looked like a combination to me!

    I've been thinking that.

Where did the reviewer complain about the show showing racism? I only saw him applauding it, quite clearly. He only complains about Bill's look when The Doctor makes the speech. The question of how he looks (like a rich white guy) isn't raised as a reason to disapprove of that look, but as an example of something that

    It really is!

I saw Bill's face when The Doctor made that speech as a happy "Oh you are a good peson who cares about people after all" face, combined with some admiration. Still a little silly, but if it had been more subtle it could have been nice way to simply show that she regained some of the respect she seemed to lose during
