I think she would be a great person if she were real. Don't think she's a bad friend for Lorelai at all, even if she's not perfect. I'd say she's not the best character because she's not three dimensional enough - she's very much a best friend character. And Jackson is even more in the background, though the parts we

I'm not sure the main character has to be the absolute best character, but I agree with your overall point. Shows with strong main characters tend to be much better.

She's not my favourite character on the show, but definitely a good one.

    Heh. Heh.

Hey, that's not right. My favourite characters that I would put on this list are Lorelai Gilmore, Buffy Summers and Veronica Mars! And… Oh. Okay.

I don't know if Barry is quite the worst… yet. But Dawson is pretty undeniable.

Definitely not (until Netflix)! Logan is definitely worse. I'm sure there are more examples, but that's the one I can think of right now.

Big is worse than Carrie though.

    But Emily wrote about Lorelai!

I like seeing so many people mention her here. It makes me feel all warm inside.
    (No, this is normal.)

    Buffy.

I think Buffy has that too actually. But you have a point.

For me it's not the type A personality itself - it's how it comes into play in her parenting. Jane's idea of what being a mother is is too perfectionist and conventional for me to relate to. It stresses me out.

I often keep defending characters I initially liked long after they've started to suck. So that's where I'm at with Barry. My imagined version of him is still okay. But Cisco is a good character in reality. Or ya know, the fictional reality of The Flash. In whatever timeline and universe they're in. ;)

It's possible they'll focus more on him next season - after all, this one ended with the removal of quite a lot of distractions/obstacles to reaching the real David.

I think he's a little more than that, but yes, he's not one of the better defined characters on TV… I love the show, and David is a very enjoyable character to watch, but I wouldn't put him on any favourites list.

Riverdale is such a good example of the lead being the worst that you have to wonder if it's not intentional.
