Is it just me or are these emails and memos sounding more and more like the various crazy Overseers’ terminal messages in Fallout?

+1 for the Trogdor reference:
When the rain starts to pour
oh, I gave up. I’m crying!
I would put more blame on the leading green car for losing it mid corner than the van. The van seemed to be doing ok until then. Hard to put much blame on the 3rd guy on the scene.
Too late. The 996tts have been going up steadily over the last couple of years. I finally pulled the trigger on one this year :)
Nice, thanks for the link to the video!
My old westie used to do the same thing. He would come and wake us up if the baby was crying or making noise in his crib. He was so protective of my boy too. He would have this look on his face like “uhh... someone do something!!”. I miss that dog.
my wife has learned not to ask what I laugh about when I’m staring at my phone
The good news s is that clean s2000s are still out there and relatively plentiful. Heck, I wouldn’t hesitate on buying an abused one for a project car someday. They are so easy to work on and I did learn a bunch about DIY by doing all of the work on my old S2000 myself.
I just sold mine to fund a 996 911 turbo purchase. No regrets so far :)
I just sold my 2005 S2000... you’re welcome!
You mean if you drop 0.5in of snow the city shuts down, right? Case in point, every school “show day” we’ve had here in the last 4 years amounted to just about 1/2in of snow :)
Yeah, the new Top Gear America is a complete dumpster fire. They tried too hard to force that banter and chemistry which makes both Antron and Wookie seem genuinely unlikable. So much so that I enjoyed seeing Antron not make it out of the semis in last event of Top Fuel dragster.
In a previous life where I would travel to HK frequently for business, I can confirm that “new and shiny” is the norm for cars. You would occasionally see an older than 5 year old car here and there, but it was very rare. I was more common to see a new Mclaren or Ferrari than a lightly used Toyota Hilux.
I love how he ripped off a tooth to give to you as a souvenir.
Probably similar to what this guy describes his McLaren F1 ownership experience:
Out of the greys for you!
Probably depends on where you live. Schaumburg and Hoffman cops always loved pulling people over for no front plates. Meter maids in Chicago (Lincoln Park especially) love handing out tickets.
Or when you park it. Illinois cops are notorious for ticketing parked cars without front plates. Ask me how I know :)
